Finding Courage to Start a Business: 5 tips
1. Believe in yourself
This first tip may sound a little cheesy, but it’s absolutely necessary if you want to become a business owner. Aspiring entrepreneurs: you have to believe in yourself. That means putting up sticky notes with proclamations and scriptures to remind you who you are and who’s you are.
2. Set attainable – Bite Size Goals
To thrive in business, be willing to set goals and go after them. But to get the courage to create a business, set goals well before your venture takes off.
Start with a simple action plan sheet – this sheet will be a checklist that will guide you from start The good thing about checklist is that they are easy to follow and has deadlines. This will keep you focused and motivated to keep going.
3. Surround yourself with positive people
To have the courage to start your own business, you not only need to be confident in yourself, but also surround yourself with people who will also give you a confidence boost. These people can be entrepreneurs or faith based individuals, friends or family members. Stay away from negative people or people who do not understand entrepreneurism.
4. Prepare ahead of time
Part of hyping yourself up and getting the courage to start a company comes from preparing yourself ahead of time. I believe you need to prepare mentally as well as physically. Mentally preparing yourself to start your business will require prayer, meditation and proclamation. This will bring clarity and fresh ideas when you need them most. It will also bring you peace and calmness when things get hectic. Some examples of physical preparedness would be in the form of action plans, business plans, and research.
5. Get moving - take a leap of faith
Last but not least , muster up the courage to start your business and get a move on with those goals you hope to achieve.
If you want your entrepreneurial dream to become a reality, get moving by putting your plans into action. Do not wait other 6-mos to a year. We are not even promised the next day. If there is a vision or a business idea that God has put in your heart then pursue it whole hardly and let him pull the pieces that seem impossible together for you. You just do your part. You may not have all the little details ironed out completely. But, that’s OK. Your plan doesn’t have to be perfect.
Remember, DONE BEATS PERFECT, remember you can always make adjustments in the future.
